Dr. Michael Painter was born and raised in Oakley and is grateful to be able to live and work in the same community. Dr. Painter attended local schools and graduated from Liberty Union High School in 1973. A short time later Dr. Painter entered the United States Air Force where he served his country four years. He attended college at Boise State University and then graduated from the prestigious Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia.

He then returned to Contra Costa County, once again settling in Oakley where he opened Oakley Chiropractic Auto Accident Clinic in 1983. Last fall, Dr. Painter celebrated his 20th business anniversary and has enjoyed an ever-growing practice.
Dr. Painter married his high school sweetheart and he and Pam have four children, Jennifer, Sarah, Samantha and Joseph.

Dr. Painter entered the medical profession because of his sincere desire to serve the public. That philosophical approach to business has carried over into his civic life. He has served for 12 years on the Oakley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, was the inaugural president of the Oakley/Delta Lions Club and continues to serve with that organization, a member of the Brentwood Rotary Club, serves on the Ironhouse Sanitary District Board of Directors (a community elected position), and is a member of several chiropractic associations.

Dr. Painter, committed to excellence, has participated in and completed several courses over the years related to the chiropractic profession. He recently completed studies with the Spinal Research Institute of San Diego and has studied and is certified in the area of animal chiropractic care.

Dr. Painter truly has a love for people, but his love for the outdoors and wildlife is also important. He started the Pheasants Forever Delta Chapter and is committed to protecting wildlife habitat while also protecting the rights of hunters. Both Dr. Painter and his wife Pam's strong sense of family has kept the couple active in their children's lives and thus, they have made generous contributions to schools, service organizations and contribute annually to a Freedom High Scholarship Fund as well as maintain involvement with Golden Hills Church.

Dr. Painter encourages new residents as well as those who have called Oakley home for years to get acquainted with his professional staff and to experience first-hand his knowledge and dedicated service in the area of chiropractic by making an appointment today for preventative chiropractic care. And, should the need ever arise for emergency chiropractic care, you will have a doctor of chiropractic who is familiar with you and who will offer personalized service.
